Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about getting started, privacy, and using Fyllit.

Yes! The Free Plan allows you to store up to user categories and user data fields, with form fills per month, each form containing up to individual fields. It also includes support for PDF forms, encrypted local backups and our anonymized filling feature.

Free Plan: Forms with up to 20 individual fields are supported. Each form fill consumes one unit of the monthly quota.

Paid Plan: On our paid plan, a Form Fill is a single submission containing up to 20 individual fields. To support complex forms, the paid plan allows you to fill up to 200 fields at once.

When a form exceeds the 20-field limit, it simply consumes one standard fill for every block of 20 fields (rounded up).

Example Calculation:

  • Standard Form (1–20 fields): Consumes 1 fill.
  • Large Form (75 fields): Consumes 4 fills (3 blocks of 20, plus the remaining 15 fields).
  • Max Form (200 fields): Consumes 10 fills.

This system gives you the flexibility to use your monthly quota on hundreds of short forms or dozens of high‑complexity documents.

The first step is to sign in using your email or Google account. To do this, go to the extensions list in your browser, select Fyllit, and click on the Get Started button in the popup. Once signed in, you can set up your personal data library, where you can organize your data into categories and fields. When you log in, an example library is created with several categories and example field names, which you can edit—add or remove categories, add or remove fields, and rename them.

The more data you add, the more likely that fields will be filled correctly. Provide as much detailed information as possible with explanatory field names so that mapping fields to values in forms functions in the best possible way.

We recommend using descriptive and atomic field names. For best results, store data points like expiration dates as separate fields (Day, Month, Year), as Fyllit can combine them but not split them. Additionally, category names are used by our AI to understand your data better, so naming them clearly will also help improve form-filling accuracy. For example, you may have "Home address" and "Shipping address" categories, each with its own set of fields.

The presented structure is only an example to give you a solid starting point and may not be fully applicable to your case. Populate only the fields that are relevant; irrelevant fields can be deleted or remain empty. The same applies to categories.

Yes, it is possible. Once the PDF form has been filled, it will be available for download because browsers do not allow editing PDFs in place for security reasons. Fyllit will create a filled out version of the PDF for you to download and edit if needed. Users should keep in mind that PDF forms may have fields that have not been labeled correctly by the creator of the form, so some fields may not be filled adequately or automatically and user edits may be required. Always check for accuracy, especially for important forms.

In standard mode, Fyllit can only populate fields for which adequate information is provided in your data library. In anonymous mode, it will try to fill all fields, but some older forms that do not follow web standards may not have all of their fields fillable automatically. Filling these specific fields would require intrusive, privacy-invasive, and slow browser automation, which we do not support.

Yes. Fyllit automatically selects the appropriate value based on factors like the website's language. For example, if you have stored name variations in both English and Spanish, the correct one will be used. It also supports local fields (like country-specific document numbers), allowing you to save them in their native language for seamless recognition.

Your data is stored exclusively in your browser's local-only storage (chrome.storage.local). Unlike standard autofill tools that sync to the cloud, Fyllit acts as a local vault on your hard drive. We do not transmit your personal information to our servers, and we never have access to your sensitive data.

The biggest difference is Cloud Sync. Standard browser profiles are designed to sync your sensitive data to your online Google or Microsoft account so they can follow you to other devices. While convenient, this puts your data in the cloud. Fyllit intentionally disables syncing; by keeping your data "device-locked," we ensure that even if your online account is ever compromised, your Fyllit data remains offline and inaccessible to hackers.

No—and that is a core security feature. Because we use local storage that is never uploaded to the cloud, your data is tied to the physical machine where you saved it. However, you can use the encrypted backup feature to export your data. You can then transfer this backup file to your new device (or use it after reinstalling your OS) and import it to restore your library. This keeps you in control: your data only moves when you move it.

No. Fyllit is designed to handle the "everything else" of form filling—from names and addresses to insurance policy numbers, vehicle VINs, and other custom data points. While Fyllit can generate secure, random passwords for you when filling user registration forms, it does not store them. Important: Because we do not keep a copy of generated passwords, you must ensure they are saved in your browser’s password manager or your preferred vault at the moment of registration.

Fyllit generates secure, random passwords on the fly to help you breeze through sign-up forms. Once generated and filled, these passwords can be captured and saved by your browser’s standard password manager. Fyllit creates the password for you, but it doesn't "keep" it.

Our primary focus is solving the frustration of complex, non-login forms. While we may offer more integrated password handling in future releases, our core mission remains providing a powerful, local-first alternative to unreliable browser autofill.
